  • 12 oz pasta penne, rotini, or bowtie
  • 1 ½ cups cherry tomatoes halved
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls bocconcini or ciliegine, halved
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves torn
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze
  • 1 tsp honey optional, for balance
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional, for spice

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Pasta:
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking. Set aside.
