Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Prepare the Rice Mixture:
  • In the baking dish, mix together the uncooked rice, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and chicken broth. Stir well to combine.
  • Add the Chicken:
  • Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture.
  • Sprinkle the onion soup mix, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper over the chicken.
  • Bake:
  • Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil to trap moisture.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).
  • Serve:
  • Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
  • Optionally, fluff the rice with a fork and top with a pat of butter for extra richness.

Notes

  • Rice Choice: Stick to long-grain white rice for best results. Brown rice will need extra liquid and longer cooking time.
  • Soup Variations: You can swap the soups for cream of celery or cheddar cheese soup for a different flavor.
  • Extra Flavor: Add mushrooms, peas, or shredded cheese on top before baking.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of broth to keep the rice from drying out.
