Instructions

  • Cook the Chicken:
  • Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise (if large) to create thinner cutlets.
  • Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F/75°C). Remove and set aside.
  • Make the Buttered Noodles:
  • In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  • Add chicken broth, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in uncooked egg noodles, cover, and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.
  • Stir in heavy cream (if using), Parmesan cheese, and remaining butter. Mix well.
  • Finish And Serve:
  • Slice or return the chicken to the pan, nestling it into the noodles.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm!

Notes

Make It Creamier: Add more heavy cream or an extra tablespoon of butter for a richer sauce.
Lighter Option: Use whole wheat pasta and swap heavy cream for low-fat milk.
Extra Flavor: Add a squeeze of lemon juice or sprinkle red pepper flakes for a slight kick.
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
