Ingredients
  

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (halved lengthwise to make 4 thin cutlets)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • For Breading:
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk or water
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs or plain with added seasoning
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon paprika optional, for extra color
  • For Frying:
  • ¼ cup olive oil or vegetable oil for frying

  • Prepare the Chicken:
  • Place chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap and gently pound them to ¼-inch thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
  • Season both sides of the cutlets with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Bread the Chicken:
  • Set up a breading station with three bowls:
  • Bowl 1: Flour
  • Bowl 2: Eggs + Milk (whisked together)
  • Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs + Parmesan + Paprika
  • Dredge each chicken cutlet in the flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  • Cook the Cutlets:
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the chicken cutlets for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  • Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Serve And Enjoy:
  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges, pasta, salad, or crusty bread.

Notes

  • Baking Option: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Air Fryer Version: Spray with oil and air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12-14 minutes, flipping once.
