  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Step 1: Preheat And Prep
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Apples And Cinnamon Swirl
  • In a small bowl, mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  • Step 3: Make the Batter
  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet, alternating with milk, until smooth.
  • Step 4: Assemble the Bread
  • Pour half the batter into the loaf pan.
  • Add half the apple mixture and sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar swirl.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon swirl.
  • Use a knife to swirl everything together slightly.
  • Step 5: Bake
  • Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
  • Step 6: Glaze And Serve
  • Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze.
  • Drizzle over the cooled bread.
